When Devona Natalie Boone was just 10 years old, she witnessed her
mother’s murder.  Eunice Natalie Boone was stabbed multiple times by an
abusive boyfriend while Devona watched in extreme fear.  Devona was
with her mother until her very last breath.  After the tragedy, Devona was
overcome with sadness, worry and grief and she was unsure of what was
next for her.
Devona has fought to become a woman of grace and resilience through
life’s difficult moments where she has had to take a self-examination of the
impact she wanted to make in the lives of others. 31 years of building
courage, 31 years of self- discovery, 31 years healing, 31 years of
recovery, 31 years of perseverance, has led Devona to this moment. Being
a self-published author to her memoir, A Precious GEM: The Journey of My
Shaping it is aimed to help those who have dealt with low self-esteem,
feelings of shame and failure in life, and the fear of growth.

Orlando (February 14 th , 2020)- Tara Boddie, an educator for over 15 years recently left the school system
to help parents build successful families to impact the lives of children. Starting as a classroom teacher
in 2005, Boddie thought she could best serve her community by academically preparing students to
achieve and become productive members of society, but after a few short years she realized that the
day-to-day family issues was more of a factor in their success than their intelligence. After serving 10
years as a guidance counselor for children ages 3 to 18 Tara Boddie has finally decided to help the
family.
Gaining experience as marriage ministry leaders in their church, Tara and her husband Jason started The
Healthy Marriage Movement where they engage couples through workshops and conferences on how
to strengthen their marriage and build healthy marriages for the sake of their children. In 2019, Tara
penned her first book, “Marriage Is A Beautiful Thing, But I Wish I Would’ve Known” (Self Published
December 2019) to highlight the challenges couples experience juggling purposefulness, marriage, and
children, and how they can experience a life-changing transformation realizing the power they have to
cultivate healthy marriages and families.
On March 7, 2020, Tara invites the media and public to her book discussion and signing at a private
location to be released to those who register for the event and media who contact Boddie. This open
and transparent discussion will jump start a couple’s journey to loving their spouse uninhibited and
utilizing the power God gave us to impact our family and build a continued legacy of successful
marriages.
Boddie, married and raising three kids, tells her story in an inspiring manner that draws in the reader

I wanted to share this prayer with you guys because it's so powerful I listen to it before bed when I get dressed and before I leave the house.



 Battle Ready Prayer Praises be to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Holy one of Israel, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.



 I give you thanks and praise for your goodness, your mercy and your grace. I give thanks for a mind to pray, a heart to seek your face and authority to bring my members into subjection.



 I thank you for this moment and the opportunity that each day brings. I know that each day is special and I am empowered with unlimited potential. There are no ceilings on my life obstacles, that cannot be overcome or barriers that can stand in my way. In fact, this is the greatest day of my life and I am free to exercise all of the gifts and talents you have blessed me with. My hopes and dreams can manifest today and I approach this moment with great expectation for miracles, breakthrough and deliverance. I stand before you lord naked offering no excuses or justification for my shortcomings and weaknesses. 



I come lord, seeking your standards and not those of men. I’ll pray that you will forgive me of my sins, known and unknown. Forgive every thought, deed, action, motive, or intent of my heart that is not lined up your word, your will or your calling and purpose for my life.



 Please forgive secret thoughts and uproot any seed of discontent that has been planted in my life. Forgive me lord if I have held back to tithe and give me a heart to restore every person that I have wronged. Just as you forgive me I forgive those that have wronged me and I let go of any ought, bitterness, or ill will that I have held in my heart. I will not allow sin and bitterness to cut off the flow of blessings into my life.



I repent right now in the name of Jesus and I receive the power of the blood to cleanse me of all iniquity. I come before you lord with a heart that is after your own and a mind that is stayed on you. I thank you lord for saving me from myself and the consequences on sin. I surrender lord and give you total and complete reign over my life. I willingly submit to you in thanksgiving and praise.



I thank you Lord for the relationship and fellowship that you have allowed me to share with you. I thank you for every moment, prayer, word and opportunity to gain revelation and understanding concerning you. Forgive me for the times I have taken you for granted or moments where I’ve allowed my focus and discipline to slip. I choose you lord and all of you benefits and denounce all ties and fellowship with the world.



I have no place in the world and denounce everything that it offers. You have given me a choice lord and I choose to be in covenant with you. I have crossed the line of no return and I will not look back. Each day I am getting more and more like you and growing further and further from this world. My reality in Christ is more real in what my natural eyes behold and I know that you are not a million miles away.



You are right here with me every step of the way. I will have confidence in you Lord concerning every situation I face, every decision I make and every temptation in my path. Give me a ear Lord to hear your instructions, eyes that will not be deceived and a heart that will remain faithful.
